Green smoothies have many health benefits. They typically include greens such as spinach, kale
and broccoli. If you’re feeling more adventurous you can add just about any green than you can handle. Adding a banana helps to hide the bitterness of the greens. Other fruits to consider adding are avocados, berries, apples and pears.

To create your green smoothie with what you’ve got on hand, add 1-2 cups of dark greens, up to 2 cups of liquid and 2-3 cups of fruit (plus ice if you aren’t using frozen fruit.) If you’re using any superfood add-ins, add them now. Blend until smooth.
